According to Forbes Magazine, Warren Buffet was until recently, the second richest man in the world. He has now been overtaken by Carlos Slim Helu, the Mexican telecommunications billionaire who has also overtaken Bill Gates of Microsoft Corp.

Not so long ago, Mr. Buffet pledged to give away nearly 30 billion dollars to charity or charitable causes over the course of ten years. According to Forbes, he was worth nearly 37 billion dollars at the time. And guess which foundation he chose to give the charity? You guessed right – The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. No need to remind you that at the time, Bill Gates was still the richest man in world.

When asked by a reporter why he gave so much money away after struggling all his life looking for it, his reply was: “All this time I was looking for it just to give it all away”.

This is baffling, wouldn’t you agree? After reading this, I was baffled and for a long time I pondered over this statement made by Warren Buffet. I mean; most of us spend years; perhaps our entire lifetimes, just trying to make-ends-meet. And here is a man who says that he looked for so much money just to give it all away!

As a reminder, the entire population of the world today is just over 6 billion people. If you divide 30 billion dollars over this figure, it doesn’t take a mathematician to figure out that each one us would walk away with over 5 dollars. This is a significant amount considering that in the poorest countries of the world, the average human being lives by less than a dollar per day.

After this, I asked myself several questions:

Who Am I?

Where did I come from?

Why Am I here?

What is the meaning of life?

Where Am I going?

Well, if somebody can make so much money only to give it away, it doesn’t take long to figure out that there must be something better than money out there; something perhaps more valuable than money or material wealth.

But what is that thing? I will leave you to figure that out but I will not leave without a clue.

One thing that comes to mind is loneliness. You see, it is very lonely up there! Most of the people I have talked to about how it feels like to be one of the richest man or woman in the world have replied nearly unanimously that you become more and more lonely as you go up there. And the fear of becoming lonely can sometimes be very terrifying!

Another reason that can prompt a man or woman to give away so much money is the realization that there are other things more valuable than money. In fact, many people struggle all their lives seeking money and material wealth only to discover the hard way that they have earned the money and wealth at the expense of the most valuable things in life such as happiness, love, good health, peace of heart, friendship, companionship, etc.

Please don’t misunderstand me. It is not pleasant to be poor or broke, and certainly, you cannot be happy when you are poor and broke. I have been poor and broke and I have also been rich and I have been unhappy on both occasions, but I prefer to be rich. Seek wealth and happiness
by any means but once you get it do not neglect to do the most important things in life and that is to share your wealth with your friends and the less fortunate in society. This way you will retain the most valuable things in life such as happiness, love, good health, peace of heart, satisfaction, friendship, companionship etc.

The third reason is the fear of death, the unknown and the afterlife. Very little is known about life after death. Fear of the unknown and the prospects of the afterlife can motivate people to try and make peace with themselves and with others, by whatever means possible, because frankly, no one has died and come back to life to tell the tale. If such a man or woman does exist, then they are very few indeed. Most religions, Christianity in particular, teaches about being rewarded after death – good reward (heaven) if you have done well on earth, and punishment (hell) if you have done evil.

Ernest Hemingway, one of the greatest writers of all time, lived his entire life without acknowledging the existence of God. Just before he died aged 61, this is what he had to say:

“When you are sixty one and you are dying, it is very imperative that
you begin to learn something about death and the afterlife”.

Certainly live your life abundantly, but do not neglect the more important things in life. Life on earth is very short but we are informed by many religions that the afterlife is eternity. As you go
about seeking money, wealth and happiness do not neglect to learn more about this important part of your life.

The universe has been delivering all kinds of incredible new insights and direction. So much information that I am having difficulty processing it all. EVERY SINGLE BIT OF INFORMATION RESONATES WITH MY SOUL. Bingo!! ... Your book solidified everything (A Happy Pocket Full of Money) – You are amazing!! You have been a Godsend to me!! Thank you for the wonderful work you are doing!!! - B. R. Royer

“A Happy Pocket Full of Money” is the best book ever!! I can read this book over and over again and I feel I learn and understand something new every time. After reading “A Happy Pocket Full of Money”, I was so impressed that I bought the Life and Wealth Packages as well as the ProvaLife Achiever software. I'm not writing this testimonial because I am trying to advertise your website, nor am I writing this because I stand to benefit monetarily from it. If you look at my occupation, I actually have more to lose than gain by going public with my endorsement of these products, as my field of work tends to be conservative. So why am I writing an endorsement? Because the information in Mr. Cameron's books are life changing! After going through the material, my relationships with people in general have improved, I am less frustrated at work, and I have learned to enjoy life again. I am so positive about the future now. But don't take my word for it, download his free ebook samples and check it out for yourselves, you WILL NOT regret it! Thanks David! I wish you the best! (I wish I could write better, but I just can't describe how much this material has changed my outlook on life.) – L. Centenera, M.D. Ob-Gyn

Just finished your book “A Happy Pocket Full of Money”. The name itself brings joy and happiness. You have done the wonderful work of a master weaver bringing the invisible elements that work behind manifestation of true prosperity and wealth in our lives. In my individual work of creating awareness of self and society at many levels I often encounter great fear – fear of the unknown. People do not want to know beyond what they know because it shifts their worldview dramatically. I was looking for a way to give them universal tools that awakens the self-power and what better way to get attention than something that every individual is struggling with – having enough money to get by. Your book is simply amazing and I recommend it to everyone, including those who have plenty of money but little joy or passion for life. – Mita

After completion of “A Happy Pocket Full of Money”, I could take very bold decisions in my life. I could leave the job and started my own new business, which is definitely going to be very prosperous and very successful. Your book is one of the best gifts, life has given to me. Thanks David! – V. Nandhivarman

I purchased the "Wealth Fundamentals Pack" a few weeks ago and am having such tremendous gains from reading your material. A whole new world has opened up for me and my stress level is practically zero. This is astounding as in the past I've been such a constant "worry wart". My entire family is benefiting from this... it just trickles down into all their lives. I have such appreciation and gratitude for your gift of wisdom. And our financial life, which had been in the pits, is now turning around (or, more correctly, "WE ARE WEALTHY".) ... Much love, – S.H.

Happy journey to wealth and infinite abundance!!!

Hi everyone! I was on a sabbatical but now I’m back. And I think apologies are quite in order for the disappearing act – I hope you forgive me…

I’d like to start from a thread I left off in my earlier posting. In that posting, I promised to discuss the topic of God in more detail, and I think this is it. I don’t think there are many people out there who doubt the existence of God.

The reason I find this topic both interesting and important is because God is the source of all things including life, wealth, prosperity, success, health, happiness etc. It is equally important to note that in order to acquire and enjoy life, wealth, prosperity, health and happiness we should be connected to the Source, God. For many centuries, many wealthy people including the great King Solomon, the richest man in the world in his time, were aware of this fact and passed it on as a secret, from generation to generation. You should consider yourself fortunate to be alive in this day and age, when the Internet and knowledge explosion has made it possible for anyone to acquire this kind of knowledge. Before the 15th century, even the holy Bible was not available to everyone.

Before we proceed, let’s set the stage. Everything you see in this world first existed in the spiritual (metaphysical) world before it manifested in the physical. The physical world cannot exist without the spiritual world but the spiritual world can and does exist without the physical world. All the gold, the diamonds, the oil, the money (that’s right!) and all the precious stones in this physical world existed and still do exist in the spiritual world. As a matter of fact all these things are just a shadow of the real things in the spiritual world, as we will see shortly. In fact, to get a glimpse of what I mean just refer to the holy Bible in the book of Revelation the twenty-first chapter (Revelation 21:19-21, NIV).

I don’t want to raise any controversy, but I think it’s important for all of us to understand that in the entire universe nothing can exist on its own – it was either created or made by SOMEONE!

One doesn’t need to go far to prove that this is the case – just look at yourself. Although you may not be aware of it, you are constantly creating and re-creating the world around you. As a matter of fact, everything you use in your daily life from your toothbrush to the car that you are driving was created or made by someone. Ok, the material to create it was already there, but nevertheless, someone designed it, molded it into a familiar shape to become usable for the benefit of mankind.

This is no coincidence. The characteristic or behavior to create or build things was passed on through our parents and our parents’ parents all the way down from the great grandparent of all parents commonly known by many cultures and religions as Adam. Different cultures and religions have their own way of describing this genealogy but it all points to one common ancestor for mankind. The process of passing similar characteristics and behavior through genealogy in mankind and animals is called DNA inheritance. Without a doubt, the discovery of DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) is one of the most important scientific discoveries in history and a lot of it is still unknown, and it’s now helping us to better understand how genetic information (genes) is passed on from parent to offspring or from one generation to another.

Another fact that points towards creation is the fact that for creation to occur there must be a creative mind present and some degree of intelligent design. I think it’s fair to say that the human being is the most intelligent creature on earth. Mind is also inherited through DNA, but it is more complex to understand, but it is important to note that mind is spiritual rather than physical. It is important to note that mind is different from brain – the physical greymatter that resides in the head of every human being and most animals.

So, how did man (and woman) acquire DNA?

The answer is DNA inherited through creation from another mind more powerful and more intelligent than our common ancestor or Adam. This ultimate mind is called God and it is the mind that is behind the creation of the universe and everything in it. Unfortunately, very little is known about God and His characteristics and behavior are so unfamiliar that many people choose to ignore the topic altogether. This is because God Himself resides in the spiritual realm – a dimension very few people care to understand, discuss or delve into. However, the understanding of this realm and how it functions holds the key to the understanding of how the entire universe was formed.

God is spirit and lives in the spiritual realm – another dimension. The holy Bible mentions that God resides in the third heaven (II Cor. 12:2-4). This is not to be confused with the physical heavens such as the atmosphere, troposphere and the stratosphere. Rather, these should be understood to mean spiritual realms. Our human capacity is so limited that we can understand upto only three or four dimensions (length, breadth, depth and height) and with some extra effort, perhaps another dimension, time. In the spiritual realm, there are three more dimensions, bringing the total number of dimensions to seven, which is God’s dimension. God resides in the epicenter of this seventh dimension, which, presumably, is the center of the universe from where He directs the affairs of the universe. We understand this through Biblical record because it is the number God commonly works with and is widely believed to be the number of perfection or completeness. For your information the number seven (or seventh) appears in the Bible 677 times!

The Biblical account gives a mind-boggling panorama of heaven. It goes as follows. Surrounded by a host of powerful angelic beings, The Bible mentions that God sits on a throne from where He controls, directs and exudes His sphere of influence throughout the entire universe. Unfortunately, very little is known about this panorama. It’s important to note that this scenario should not be taken literally as much of it is aimed at showing to a mortal human being, a glimpse of the spiritual realm and a snapshot of the affairs of heaven. It’s equally important to note that God is not limited to space, time and distance; therefore, He is omnipresent within the entire universe. If you would like to get more information about it please read the holy Bible, the fourth chapter of the book of Revelation (Rev 4:1 – 11, NIV).

One important aspect of God that we need to understand is that God is infinite and like Him, the universe is also infinite. The universe itself is not God but is part of God’s creation that includes the visible universe and the invisible universe. But of course our feeble minds may not allow us to understand this concept since much of it belongs in higher dimensions that are beyond our human comprehension.

Scientists are just beginning to understand that the key to understanding how the universe was formed lies in the understanding of very small particles and micro-organisms. In other words, in order to understand the origins of the universe, scientists are shifting their focus from studying large things such as galaxies, solar systems, stars, planets and other celestial objects and instead they are increasingly focusing on the study of very small particles and micro-organisms.

Scientific breakthrough in quantum physics has enabled scientists to build computer microchips that are so small that they can be injected into your blood vessels. Scientists are using brute force to advance quantum physics and microbiology beyond the present limits and much study, funding and concerted effort is directed towards this goal. If you would like to learn more about quantum physics, you may find more information here.

Let’s not dwell too much on science. How did God create the first ancestor or Adam? Simple. According to the Bible, He first made the concept in His mind, of how a human being should look like and then followed by making the physical form of the man (and woman). Next He breathed His spirit into him and the man (or woman) became a living soul (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7). You should understand that the spiritual form of the first man and woman was already present with God, and once God decided that it was time to create a physical form of the man and woman, He did so using His creative mind. The physical form then just appeared effortlessly. It’s important to understand that the spiritual gives life to the physical – not the other way round. Unlike other animals, but like God, mankind was created to be infinite or eternal. This should not be understood to mean that the physical form or body is immortal. The physical form is simply a temporary abode for the spiritual being, while in transit to eternity.

Where is all this taking us?

Everything you see in this world, including the ground on which you are standing began in the mind. So, where did creation actually take place? I think it’s more accurate to say that creation actually happened in the mind before it manifested in its physical form.

As you can see, mind is the most powerful force in the universe, since it is connected with the most powerful force in the entire universe, and that is The Source of all mind, God.

This leads us to understand that we as human beings have the capacity and responsibility to create anything we desire within our sphere of influence, as long as it conforms to the laws of the universe. Now these laws should not be understood to mean only the universal laws such as the law of gravity, but should include all universal laws including moral laws such as the Biblical Ten Commandments etc. I’m sure other holy books have similar moral laws. Bear in mind that breaking any universal law including moral laws, goes in contrast against the principles of the universe, how it was formed and how it functions, and the consequences of this fact can be seen all around us today (sickness, death, war, depletion of the ozone layer, melting of the ice caps, rising sea levels, desertification etc.).

As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, the human mind is like a tsunami. We can either use it constructively or destructively. By using our mind constructively and creatively, we have the capacity to create enormous wealth, health, money, abundance and happiness for the benefit of all mankind. If utilized properly and efficiently, the universe has enormous potential and can never be fully exploited. There’s enough money and wealth in the universe to make every human being on earth a millionaire ten times (every one of the six billion of us).

Our scarcity mentality often gets in the way of progress and we are constantly bombarded with scarcity propaganda by our parents, our friends, our schools, the Internet and the media such as money is a scarce resource; it takes a lot of money to be rich; you will never be rich; you have to work very hard to be rich; the rich become richer and the poor become poorer; money is hard to get; you have to be lucky to become rich; there’s never enough money in the world; money is hard to get; I will never get well; this disease is incurable; this disease has no cure; No one cares about me; I have no friends; Nobody likes me; I am ugly and so on… The effect is that we end up believing that these things are true and eventually they become permanently engraved in our sub-conscious minds.

Prosperity, health and happiness begin when we start to tell our sub-conscious minds that these things are not true. In fact, we become prosperous, healthy and happy the moment we start believing that we are already prosperous, healthy and happy – not when the prosperity, health and happiness manifest physically.

“Prosperity is the ability to do what you want to do at the instant you want to do it.”

It’s Time To Take Action…

“You will never get rich working for someone else!”

– J. Paul Getty, author, How To Become Rich.

Our current education system was started in the 19th century during the industrial age, and it was designed to give people the skills to work in industries, offices and so on. It was designed to make people good employees to work in those industries. It was not designed to make them employers, businesspeople, and entrepreneurs or to make them financially literate.

No wonder therefore, our poor parents advised us to go to school, study very hard, and get good grades in order to get a good, secure job in a big organization. This is no coincidence because our parents were also advised the same by their own parents.

Instinctively, we just obeyed them – so, most of us went to school, studied very hard, and got good grades in order to get a good secure job in a large corporation.

Generally, the order of our priorities in life became something like this:

1) To be secure
2) To be comfortable
3) To become rich

Notice the order of priorities!

Notice how “To become rich” is usually given the last priority – an afterthought. For most people, the first priority is “job security” and then to live “a comfortable life”. And since you become what your priority is, the result is that most people never become rich. No wonder, most people waste their productive lives working for someone else thereby making them rich only to retire on a pension; and since they don’t know what else to do, they die soon thereafter out of boredom.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not campaigning against people getting jobs. I had a very secure job with a blue chip company myself. In fact I learnt quite a lot while working for that company.

“The most secure place on earth is in prison.”

– Robert Kiyosaki, author of best-selling book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

The book that changed my life is called Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. The year was 2004 and I was at the height of my professional career in the corporate world. Like everyone else, I worked terribly long hours, often including weekends. I had been with the organization for eight years during which we went through a lot of challenges. I remember sometimes I had to be in the office at 7.00 AM in the morning and I would leave the office at 9.00 PM at night after everyone else had left. The job was very stressful with very strict deadlines to meet, and since I was a key employee, annual leave was rare. No matter how hard I worked, the workload only seemed to increase by the day. Oftentimes, I would arrive home late, find my children already asleep, have a late meal, and sometimes slumber on the couch while watching TV. I was like a stranger in my own house. The following day it would be the same routine all over again and it seemed like there was no end to the vicious cycle. I hated my daily commute. I was among a group of very innovative individuals, and I remember we did introduce quite a few innovative ideas into the organization, one of which enabled the organization to save nearly one million dollars annually in profits. And what did I get for all my troubles? Not even a pat on the back!

The atmosphere was very competitive, and office politics was the order of the day. In our department, there were two other colleagues at the same middle-management level as myself, and all of us were competing for succession to the only senior management position available in the department at the time. You had to lobby very hard to get this position, and if you were not in good political standing with the top management in addition to being in favor with the incumbent boss, you were out of luck. Needless to say that in addition, you had to be appropriately “culturalized” in order to ensure your success.

We were going through very tough economic times. Due to stiff competition, poor management and unfavorable economic climate, the company was forced to downsize in a major restructuring that saw my immediate boss laid-off. This caught many people off-guard, and it was quite disheartening to see some very senior managers evidently shaken.

After my boss was laid-off, the most senior position in our department was rendered vacant. At that time, one of my two colleagues had been aggressively lobbying for this position for quite a while, perhaps with the support of my former boss. This was his perfect opportunity, especially since he was both “politically correct” with top management and in favor with my outgoing boss. Although I had been with the company longer, my colleague immediately got the approval for the position instead. It was no surprise since it was common knowledge that my colleague had the backing of my former boss.

For me, the handwriting was on the wall. In that tense environment, there was little or no room for advancement. You had to wait endlessly for someone to be either transferred, laid off or to die - otherwise it was a dead-end for you. And if you did not agree to “tow-the-line” you had to call it quits. That’s when I decided to make my move. I considered looking for another job, but on second thought, I realized that I would be still trying to climb another man’s ladder. Therefore, I decided to go find my own ladder, and from that time on, I never looked back.

By the way, one month after my resignation, I was informed that the CEO who supervised the restructuring process had been given the “axe” by head office for poor performance.

“It’s not enough to be in the right place at the right time. You have to be the right person in the right place at the right time.”

– T. Harv Eker, author, Secrets of The Millionaire Mind

Someone once advised:

“Do not be afraid to be different. We only live once, so do what makes YOU happy and not what others think should make you happy. Always be true to yourself”.

There’s no such thing as job security anymore. Companies all over the world are laying-off thousands of staff under the guise of “restructuring “ in order to cut costs and prolong their survival. Big European and American companies such as IBM, General Motors, Coca-Cola, Nike, Sony, Ericksson, Nokia and Siemens are moving their operations to China, Vietnam, Thailand and other parts of the world in search of cheap labour. And many other companies in the developed world are outsourcing their non-core activities such as IT, data processing and accounting in developing countries such as India and Africa in order to cut costs and remain competitive. In the late eighties, Management guru, Charles Handy made the prediction in his book, The Age of Unreason (a.k.a The Age of Paradox) that large organizations, which he called elephant organizations, would be forced by competition to either shrink or disintegrate into what he called shamrock organizations or federalism starting late 20th century and into the 21st century.

If you’re still with me up to this point, let me take this opportunity to congratulate you. You’re now ready to take ACTION. I don’t mean that you quit your current job – keep your current job by any means, but remember there’s no job security anymore. The information you’re reading here is privileged. I’ve also given you further references for you to read. Most of these further references have changed the lives of millions of people around the world and made them millionaires. It is impossible to read the material presented here and not begin to change your mindset. After changing your mindset and training yourself on the correct way of thinking and doing, I believe you are ready to take some action. If you’ve come this far, I believe you’re on the right path. For starters, you can start a part-time business. This can start you on the right track. Get all the information you can get to start your own part-time business. There are many sources of information and the Internet is a great source of information. There are many part-time businesses you can start, which I will not mention now, but please watch this space for related articles in future.

“Do the right thing instead of doing things right”. – Peter Drucker.

I recommend that you also start reading financial and personal development books. I recommend you start with Robert Kiyosaki’s best-selling book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad first. This book is excellent for people just beginning their financial education. It has been read by millions of people worldwide and transformed the thinking of many. Remember, financial literacy is not taught in schools. What they teach in school is a different subject called financial management, which is the academic view of the subject of managing money. It basically equips you with the skills to manage other people’s money. It does not adequately equip you with the knowledge to manage your own money, to think for yourself, to survive in the street and to achieve financial freedom. You can also read The Cash-Flow Quadrant by the same author – another excellent book.

Do You Want To Be Rich?

Posted by farajah | 9/07/2007

Being rich is a state of mind. Poverty is also a state of mind.

You cannot become rich by accident. To become rich, you must have a burning desire to become rich. It is a deliberate effort towards a certain goal, driven by the desire to get there at any cost. Be prepared to get out of your comfort zone, as the discomfort is also necessary to propel you towards your destiny.

Everything that happens in your life is moving you in the direction of your goals.”
Bob Proctor, author of You Were Born Rich and The Science of Getting Rich seminars

The way to success, riches, wealth and happiness is like the way to heaven. It is narrow and winded, and only a few see it, and there are quite a few hurdles on the way.

What’s a desire?

A desire is a vacuum of need. For example, suppose you need a life partner. That’s a desire. The desire will drive you to various places including the Internet. But since you may not have taken time to train yourself on how to find the right partner, your five natural senses will probably lead you to the wrong direction and you may end up with the wrong partner. But then since a partner is also a fellow human being and a life-long companion, it may be both difficult and costly to get rid of her/him in case you discover later that he or she wasn’t the right one.

I might add here that unless you fulfill a desire, you will neither be comfortable or happy. Likewise unless you are uncomfortable with your present situation, you cannot see the need to fulfill a desire.

It is usually said that if you have such a strong desire to get something – so strong that you can die for it, you will eventually have it.

"Plant the seed of desire in your mind and it forms a nucleus with power to attract to itself everything needed for its fulfillment." – Robert Collier

Naturally, people have three priorities in life:

1) To be secure
2) To be comfortable
3) To become rich

To be secure

The need to be secure is the number one priority for many people. This is what your parents, your teachers, your professors taught you again and again: Go to school, study very hard and get good grades in order to get a good secure job in a big corporation. And that’s what most of us did.

To be comfortable

Naturally, the next priority is to buy car or take a mortgage or loan to buy a house, and perhaps even get a family and raise children. At this stage, many people usually change their lifestyles, often borrowing money to finance their new more expensive lifestyles. And since they lack basic financial education, they usually find themselves deeply in debt. Many people therefore, go back to college to further their education or to obtain a qualification for purposes of getting a better paying job or getting promotion. They think that more money will solve their financial problem only to discover that they need even more money to finance their new lifestyle and the cycle continues. They are in the RAT RACE!

To become Rich

For many people, to become rich is usually an afterthought. Many people think that in order to become rich you have to become secure first, and then become comfortable. This is not usually the case. In order to become rich you have to re-arrange your priorities so that they look like this:

1) To be rich
2) To be comfortable
3) To be secure

This explains why there are many people who are rich today, who either never went to school or they were school dropouts. Do not mistake me. I am not advocating against going to school. You should go to school in order to get a quality education and perhaps that good, secure job. After all, we can’t image going through life without a quality education in today’s competitive world. As I said earlier, being rich is a state of mind, so it is possible to go school and still become rich. After all, there are many well-educated people today who are very rich.

“You will never get rich working for someone else!”
– J. Paul Getty, author, How To Become Rich.

Just remember that in order to become rich you must forfeit:

1) To be secure and,
2) To be comfortable.

In order to make “to become rich” be your number one priority, you must have a desire to become rich, and you must also have a passion for something that will make you rich.

It is important to note that you can’t have a passion to become rich. You can have a desire to become rich but you can’t have a passion to become rich – you will never become rich this way.

What should you do then in order to become rich?

You should have a big DREAM.

What’s a Dream?

A dream is basically what you imagine in your mind you want to achieve or what you dream at night. What? Many people think that what they dream at night is just an illusion of the mind to be dismissed. This is not correct. Remember what I said earlier in an earlier article that we are spiritual beings. When you go to sleep, the body and the mind go to sleep, but your spirit doesn’t. As a matter of fact this is when your spirit is most active. Remember your life extends beyond your consciousness. What you dream at night is also part of your life – And a very important one. More of this later…

Anyway, the kind of dream I am talking about is something like owning a big home, owing a 10-acre ranch, owning 5 cars, becoming a multi-millionaire, taking your family on a vacation to Cancun, Mexico, feeding the hungry, building a church or a temple, building a home for the homeless, building a school, landing the first human on mars, inventing a new machine that would make life easier or discovering a new vaccine for cancer.

It is good practice to record your dreams in a journal – what you imagine during the day and also what you dream at night are both important. You never know from where your dream will come – That life-changing revelation that will propel you to your success.

The bigger the dream, the better.

Do you have a Passion for Something?

Passion is something you love to do, possibly for the benefit of others, even if you don’t get paid doing it. Everybody was born with a certain unique attribute, a talent. It could be an art like acting or drawing or singing or dancing. Or it could be writing (like I’m doing right now), cooking, racing, boxing (like Mike Tyson), or encouraging others. Just as there are many people in this world, there are as many different attributes and even if you are an actor, you cannot do it exactly the same way as Chalize Theron, Leonardo Di Caprio or Sylvester Stallone. Everybody is unique in his or her own way, and everybody has something to offer or something people can learn from. By the way, you could even be more talented than Sylvester Stallone and not know it. The difference is that you’ve never exercised your talent.

You should know that people will not give you money unless you give them something they need. And you cannot continue to give people something they need when they don’t pay you unless you have a PASSION for it.

“You cannot give every man or woman more in cash market value than you take from him or her, but you can give them more in use value than the cash value of the thing you take from them”.
– Wallace D. Wattles, author,
The Science of Getting Rich.

Do you have a big dream?
Is your dream to become rich, successful and happy?
Do you have a strong desire for your dream?
Is your desire driven by passion to do something?
Are you prepared to sacrifice some comfort in order to achieve your dream?

If your answers to the above questions are YES, then you are on the right path.

Believe In Yourself…

Posted by farajah | 9/03/2007

The secret to success, wealth and happiness is to believe in yourself. You have all that you need to succeed. What you don’t have, you don’t need.

Do you want to be rich? Why are you not?

“Present moments are the perfect outcome of your past thoughts, states and actions. They are a gift to you to enable you to experience yourself and grow. Resisting and cursing the present only perpetuates its nature.”

- David Cameron, author, A Happy Pocket Full of Money.

Everything begins in the mind. Changing your mindset begins when you start thinking differently than the status quo. The human mind once it is set in motion is like a tsunami – it is unstoppable and impossible to imprison.

When the Wright Brothers invented the aeroplane, the common thinking at the time was that it was impossible for a human being to fly. They decided to challenge that thinking, and the rest, as we all know – is history.

Changing your mindset begins with believing in yourself. But it is also difficult to believe in yourself if you don’t believe in God. It has been observed that throughout history, people who were highly successful in their day were also deeply religious, and in one way or another, believed in a higher POWER, God.

Galileo Galilei, Sir Isaac Newton, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, The Wright Brothers, Andrew Carnegie, Albert Einstein, Henry Ford, John D. Rockefeller etc. only to mention a few were all religious people. The reason for this is obvious – it gives you FAITH and the strength and purpose to go on, even when things get tough. And things do get tough, that I can guarantee you. Believing in God gives you reassurance that you are here for a purpose and not by accident. This gives meaning to life and the courage to go on, even when faced with life’s challenges.

The second reason why you should believe in God is that you cannot separate yourself from your Source of life – to do that you’d have to stop breathing. God is spirit and eternal and apart from the fact that we have a physical body, we are also spiritual beings directly connected with the eternal God.

Why do you think human beings are the only creatures on planet earth with the ability to create things, to build things such as computers, motorcars, bridges, skyscrapers, airplanes and rockets?

That we have the same creative characteristics, behavior and likeness of God is no accident. We can’t get way from it. Our DNA is inherited from the Source, God, and this dictates how we think, behave and act.

The third reason is that since God is spirit and therefore eternal, we are also eternal since we are also spiritual beings. This is true whether we feel religious or not. So whether we believe it or not we are eternally connected with the Source, God.

Actually, believing in God is for your benefit. Being in harmony with God puts you in harmony with the laws of the universe, which are necessary for your success, wealth building and happiness. If you’d like to study this topic further, I advise you to get hold of David Cameron’s book, A Happy Pocket Full of Money. I also recommend the book I’m Rich Beyond My Wildest Dreams by Thomas Pauley.

“Imagination is the greatest creative force on earth.” – Albert Einstein

The human mind is a very powerful tool. Everything you see in this world started as a thought in someone’s mind, including wealth and all the money in the world. As a matter of fact, everything that was ever created or invented in this planet was imagined first.

Discovering God leads you to discover who you really are. Discovering yourself leads you to discover your purpose in life. Wealth, success and happiness only follow when you discover yourself and your purpose in life and begin to behave and act in the direction of your purpose.

Discover yourself and you will begin to imagine. Imagination will become dreams. And your dreams will become reality.

The conscious mind holds all sorts of thoughts – those you believe in and those you do not believe in. The subconscious mind on the other hand holds only what you hold as truth to you; what you believe in. In order to change your mindset, you must train your subconscious mind to hold as true, those things that you know to be factually untrue. For example, you know it’s a fact that you are not rich now. That belief is held in your subconscious mind. To change that you must begin to exercise with your conscious mind by sending messages to your subconscious mind from your conscious mind, that you are already rich NOW; although in reality you are not yet rich. Sounds difficult? I know it is, especially since you have always known for a fact that you are not rich. This is because you have lived and been influenced, in a contrary environment all your life. But remember also that you are where you are today, due to self-limiting beliefs and actions in your past.

Begin to change your thinking this way and begin to speak and act the same. Begin to UNLEARN all the self-limiting beliefs you have ever been taught by your parents, your teachers, and society all your life and you will have taken the first step on your journey to wealth, success and happiness.

In the book The Millionaire Mindset by Boris Vene and Nikola Grubisa, the authors suggest that the most important step you must take on your way to success, wealth and happiness is to decide to believe in yourself. It is a decision that requires no judgment on your part of whether you are worthy of that belief. You must first accept with all your heart that you are a unique person; a being who deserves only the best in life – then miracles will happen.

Everything you need is already within you, and whatever you don’t have, you probably don’t need. God, the master designer thought of everything when he created us, human beings. In the book The Road Ahead, Bill Gates suggests that the human brain is a very complex computer, more powerful than even the most powerful supercomputer on earth. When God created us, he also built the capacity to create within us. This inbuilt capacity is locked in our bodies in the form of genetic information or DNA.

As we begin to stimulate our minds by challenging our thinking and self-limiting beliefs, we also begin to arouse this inbuilt, sleeping monster called DNA. It is only then that we begin to understand whom we really are – creative beings able to create, build or make any conceivable thing we can imagine including money, wealth, success and happiness.

Attitude Is Everything...

Posted by farajah | 8/30/2007

Where do we begin? That’s a fair question.

We saw in my last article that the road to wealth begins with the first step, and that is to “change our mindsets”.

The first thing we need to do is to change our mental attitude.

We live in a thought universe. Thoughts are powerful things. In fact, thoughts are energy.

Did you know that everything you see on this planet, started as a thought?

Aero planes, jet engines, computers, motor cars, electric trains, nuclear bombs, buildings, skyscrapers, bridges, highways, cities, towns, including the earth itself, all started as a thought. In fact the entire universe was created from a thought!

God created the universe and put us, human beings, on this planet to extend his vision of creation. The universe itself is not God, but is God’s creation and encompasses everything that can be described as matter. Although the universe is infinite, God himself is beyond this dimension, although he is also every part and parcel of his creation, which includes matter, galaxies, the solar system, the planet earth and every conceivable creature that lives on the surface of the earth, under the earth, in the water or above the earth. More of this later.

As you will discover later, we human beings, are very powerful creatures as we are the only known creatures in the universe, which have the ability to use the mind and thoughts to create any conceivable thing (such as the ones mentioned above). Our minds and thoughts are actually connected to the Source, God. And as I said earlier, THOUGHTS ARE ENERGY.

Our concern here is to see how we can use the power of our minds and thoughts to create wealth. You could use the power of the mind to create money and any other kind of wealth you want. Yes, it is possible to generate the right kind of thoughts to create money and everything else that you need in life – if only you are prepared to change your mental attitude. You are only limited by your thoughts and mental attitude.

Today, I’ll try to explain mental attitude in detail. Yes, your mental attitude determines who you are and the direction you are going, and your achievements in life.

What is mental attitude?

Mental attitude is the general channel through which you generate your thoughts. It is the vehicle your mind uses to generate your thoughts towards a certain direction. It determines your behavior, your actions and your view towards other people. It is the general atmosphere that determines what type of goals you choose for your life.

Let’s face it. We all should have goals. Goals give us purpose and meaning. Goals could be as simple as getting a college degree, getting a job, buying a car or marrying the most beautiful girl in your village or they could be bigger and complex such as discovering a cure for cancer, becoming a millionaire or landing the first man on mars, etc.

Do you have goals? The type of goals you choose indicates what kind of attitude you have. We’ll get back to that later.

First let’s illustrate mental attitude and then we will explore how to have the right attitude and so on.

Possessing the right mental attitude is so important in your life that it can determine your success or failure.

I would like to explain this by using a simple illustration.

Look carefully, at the image on the left. It is an image of a glass filled with water:

Would you tell me whether the glass is:

a) half-full, or
b) half-empty?

This is very important.

Please try to be as honest with yourself as possible.

Write down your answer.

What was your answer?

The important thing to note here is that there’s no wrong answer!

However, your answer is so important that it actually determines your general attitude towards life.

If you answered “half-full”, this shows that your mental attitude is generally positive (Positive Mental Attitude).

If you answered “half-empty”, this shows that your mental attitude is generally negative (Negative Mental Attitude).

Believe it or not, your mental attitude directs everything you do in life; your behaviour, your actions, how you spend your time, what you watch on TV, what you read, how you talk, what you say, your choice of friends, what partner you choose for your life, how many friends you have, how many hours you spend watching TV, what type of clothes you wear, your favourite colors, the colors of your clothes, your mood, your behavior and so on.

WOW! That’s a mouthful.

Your mental attitude also determines the situation you are in right now, whether you are rich or poor etc. among many other things. Did you know that your present circumstances whether good or bad are determined by your past mental attitudes, behaviors and actions?

Remember that your thoughts are like a magnet. Your thoughts are also energy that you transmit like the radio waves from a radio station. If someone else has a good radio receiver and has tuned to the right frequency, he or she will definitely receive your broadcast.

When you have the right mental attitude, your mind will begin to attract the right thoughts. If you believe you can be rich, your mind will begin to generate possibilities and ways for you to be rich. You will begin to attract like-minded people, who will also have similar thoughts, and who will share your positive ideas. Similarly, if you have a negative mental attitude, you will also attract negative-minded people, who will share your negative ideas. Like attracts like.

Positive mental attitude opens a world of possibilities. Negative mental attitude opens a world of impossibilities.

More on this topic in my next post.

Your views and comments are welcome.

Your greatest asset today may not be your house, your car, your stocks or real estate. Your greatest asset today could be your computer, the Internet and your BRAINS!

Yes, you read that correctly.

The subject of money and wealth is not new and there are numerous textbooks written about it. There are also many forums and discussions on the Internet dedicated to the topic. And since it’s such a hot subject, many myths also abound about the subject and it’s difficult to distinguish the truth from the myth.

For this reason it seemed appropriate for me also, to make a contribution by sharing my thoughts on this important subject, with a view to demystify the subject, and hopefully, arouse your interest.

It appears that one cannot discuss wealth without discussing money and vice versa. This seems to stem from the notion that one is considered wealthy if he or she has a lot of money.

Money itself is not wealth, but it symbolizes wealth and helps to place an economic value on the amount of wealth owned or controlled by an individual, an organization or a nation. Money is a means of exchange for goods, services and other assets. Although paper money itself forms only a fraction (less than 5%) of the wealth of any economy, it can be used to make economic judgment (net worth), on a particular individual, organization or a nation that has the money.

Generally, wealth means abundance, and an individual, an organization or a nation that has plenty of it, is considered economically wealthy.

It’s important to note that wealth is no longer being created through the traditional methods that emerged from the industrial age. The information age and the Internet are here with us, and new ways and possibilities are available for wealth creation to anyone who can access and take advantage of information.

Although assets are closely related to wealth, they don’t necessarily mean the same thing.

Wealth is the sum of all the assets owned or controlled by an individual, an organization or a nation.

An asset is an economic benefit that can create wealth. For example, a good employee is an asset to the company he or she works for. A machine is an asset in the sense that it can be used to produce a product that can be sold to generate money for the business. Money can also be a good asset if it is invested wisely to generate future wealth.

The terms riches and wealth mean the same thing, as they are both English nouns. Similarly, the terms rich and wealthy also mean the same things, as they are both English adjectives used to describe status. We will try to use these terms interchangeably throughout these articles, as we all know what they mean, and we’re not really interested in English grammar.

NB: Please pardon me if I confuse some English grammar while trying to explain something – my English is learned, not my mother tongue.

Ok, if you like, we will first classify money, land, homes, cars, properties, real estate, stocks, bonds, precious metals etc., as tangible or traditional type of wealth or assets. There are many other types of wealth or assets such as information, knowledge and wisdom, but we will discuss those later. These types of wealth or assets are generally known as either intangible wealth or intangible assets.

If you don’t understand any of these terms, don’t worry. Nobody does at first! You will understand them gradually as time goes…

Many cultures have held the common belief that people are destined by fate to be either rich or poor. This is merely a myth.

Many people wish they were rich – and that’s exactly why they’re not. The truth is that people really don’t WANT to be rich; they only wish. And that’s the difference. For centuries, people have been influenced by cultural and religious beliefs and traditions to believe that it’s ok to be poor. This is just a myth.

Before we continue, let’s clear this myth – God doesn’t want you to be poor!

“Whatever may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich. No man can rise to his greatest possible height in talent or soul development unless he has plenty of money; for to unfold the soul and to develop talent he must have many things to use, and he cannot have these things unless he has money to buy them with.”
– Wallace D. Wattles, author,
The Science of Getting Rich.

The fact is that people are not destined by fate or luck, to become either rich or poor but by their self-limiting beliefs and actions.

For centuries, the rich have practiced certain laws and principles to create wealth, which they have passed on from generation to generation. This is why some notable families in history e.g. The Carnegie family, The Rockefeller family or The Kennedy family, have remained wealthy for decades.

One could argue that some people get rich by inheriting wealth. That’s correct, but also remember that unless these people practice the laws and principles, it’s not possible for them to pass on wealth from generation to generation, no matter how much it is.

The truth is that anyone can be rich if they practice certain universal laws and principles and behave in a certain way. These universal laws work like any other universal laws such as the law of gravity, regardless of where they are applied or who applies them. There’s no discrimination and this is a fact. This is what the rich don’t want you to know.

The problem is that these laws and principles are not taught in any college or university.

God permitting, we’re going to try and uncover these secrets that the rich don’t want you to know, in this and forthcoming articles. We’re also going to discover and share new ways of thinking that have been used in modern times to create wealth, which have probably not yet been explored.

The Internet is one of the greatest inventions in history and a major stride for mankind since the dark ages. It has made it possible for anyone in the globe, rich or poor, black or white, young or old, big or small, anywhere on the globe to acquire any amount of knowledge one wishes to have, because most of it is free.

Knowledge is power… right? Wrong!

Knowledge is potential power. Actually, knowledge is static energy.

Thanks to the Internet, information is now available to anybody who cares to have it at little or no cost. Anyone can use this information, put it into practice and become extremely wealthy within a very short period of time.

For example, in 1930, it may have taken 30 years of hard work for someone to be rich. Now, with the Internet, it can take 2 years or less.

Consider this:

It took radio 33 years to reach 50,000,000 listeners.

It took television 13 years to reach 50,000,000 views.

It took the Internet less than 5 years to reach 50,000,000 users.

By the fall of 1997 there were 27 million computers connected to the World Wide Web.

By March of 1998 there were over 50 million computers connected to the Internet.

By the end of 2007 it is estimated that over 1 billion users will be using the Internet surfing, chatting, dating, downloading, buying, selling, trading, exchanging money, communicating, learning, researching and sharing knowledge of every conceivable form.

Did you know that our entire economy is run on computers and networks? As a matter of fact, all the money in the economy is transacted online via computers and networks.

There’s a way of thinking, a certain mindset and a pattern of thinking that attracts wealth. The rich have always practiced this “certain way”, whether intentionally or unawares. Until the emergence of the Internet, this practice has been largely unknown through study, although the subject itself has been written about in many textbooks, such as the best-selling book, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, et-al. This is why there’s widespread skepticism regarding the subject.

A school of thought exists that believes that the acquisition of money and wealth is governed by certain scientific laws and principles, just like the law of gravity. These laws and principles work for anyone and that those who practice these laws and principles whether intentionally or unawares, get rich; while those who do not practice them, remain poor no matter how hard they work.

You can explore this topic further by reading a book called The Science of Getting Rich, by Wallace D. Wattles.

This way or pattern of thinking is the one that attracts wealth, just like a magnet attracts iron or another magnet. Thinking alone isn’t enough to attract wealth. It is the thinking in a particular way and putting this thinking into practice that actually attracts wealth.

Let’s start by examining the first thinking pattern.

First, you have to change your mindset. Yes, maybe you have heard this before from somewhere.

What’s a mindset?

It is a set of beliefs, values and traditions, practiced and passed on from generation to generation by our parents, teachers and society.

For example, have you ever heard people saying the following?

1) Money is a scarce resource.
2) The rich get richer and
3) The poor get poorer.
4) Money is the root of all evil. (The actual quote is “The love of money is the root of all evil”.)
5) The rich exploit the poor to get rich.
6) You cannot be rich unless you are very lucky.
7) There’s never enough money in the world.
8) Money is hard to get.
9) You have to work hard to get money.
10) Time is money
11) Money is not spiritual.
12) Never buy anything that you don’t need.

I’m sure you’ve heard countless statements and beliefs such as these from your parents, your friends, your teachers, your college professors, etc.

Why do you believe them? Are they true?

The truth is that you have chosen to believe them, although they may not necessarily be true.

Changing your view about such beliefs and traditions is actually the beginning of a long journey in the process to change your mindset.

The Chinese have a saying that a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.

We will continue with this discussion in forthcoming posts in this forum.

Your views and contributions are welcome.
